Music Feature: Easter Sunday 

Sunday, April 20 | Starting at 6am 

Start your Easter celebrations with a beautiful morning of sacred music. Beginning at 6am, we’re playing an entire Sunday Sunrise of Easter-themed selections—followed by a full day of choral works to bring joy, reflection, and renewal to your Easter Sunday. 

 

Northwest Focus LIVE 

Friday, April 18 | 7pm 

Host: Seth Tompkins 

This week’s Northwest Focus LIVE features the North Corner Chamber Orchestra (NOCCO), a boundary-breaking Seattle ensemble celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season. Known for unconducted performances and a spirit of collaboration, NOCCO performs in intimate venues and redefines what classical music can be. Tune in for a night of creative energy and bold musical expression.

Northwest Focus Concert Calendar 

UW Guest Artist Concert: Eroica Trio 

Wednesday, April 16 | 7:30pm | Meany Hall, Seattle 

The Grammy-nominated Eroica Trio concludes its three-day residency at UW with a concert featuring works by Bach, Brahms, Gershwin, and more. Known for their precision and passion, this trio offers a performance that blends tradition with flair. 

 

Tacoma Concert Band: The Genius of John Williams 

Saturday, April 19 | 7:30pm | Pantages Theater, Tacoma 

From Jurassic Park to Harry Potter, this concert celebrates the timeless movie scores of John Williams. The Tacoma Concert Band brings cinematic magic to life with unforgettable themes that have defined generations. 

 

Olympia Symphony Orchestra: New Frontiers 

Saturday, April 19 | 7:30pm | Washington Center for the Performing Arts, Olympia 

It’s the Olympia Symphony’s season finale—and they’re going out with a cosmic journey. Guitarist Petrit Çeku performs Rodrigo’s beloved Concierto de Aranjuez, followed by the epic sweep of Holst’s The Planets.

Seattle Opera Broadcast 

Saturday, April 19 | 10am 

Step into a world of enchantment with Mozart’s The Magic Flute, performed by Seattle Opera. This whimsical tale follows Prince Tamino and the bird-catcher Papageno on a journey through trials of love, loyalty, and light. With myth, magic, and a touch of humor, it’s a story—and a score—that continues to inspire.

Hope Springs Eternal, Part 2

This week’s edition continues a hopeful journey through film music, featuring selections from Won’t You Be My Neighbor, Apollo 13, As Good as It Gets, and more stories of resilience, kindness, and strength. 

 

Spring Break Cuties: Baby Animals in Film 

Sunday, April 20 | 4pm 

Celebrate spring with a feel-good soundtrack full of adorable animals—from Bambi and The Elephant Whisperers to Keanu, Babe, and more. It’s sweet, silly, and irresistibly heartwarming. 

 

Second Inversion 

Episode: Planting the Seeds 

Saturday, April 19 | 9pm 

Host: Maggie Molloy 

This week, Second Inversion gets a little wild—in the best way. We’re digging into music inspired by nature and even performed on living plants. From the rustling of leaves to the resonance of bark and wood, it’s a celebration of sound where music and the earth intertwine.
