Ring in the New Year this week on Classical KING! 

 

Classical KING’s New Year’s Eve 

Wednesday, December 31 | 8pm 

Celebrate the start of 2026 with a midnight soundtrack to light up the night!  Starting at 8pm there will be music programmed for Classical KING’s New Year’s Eve going all the way up to midnight. 

 

Classical KING’s Soundtrack for Midnight Fireworks 

Thursday, January 1 | 12am 

Ring in the New Year with Classical KING!  As the clock counts down to midnight, join us for special music perfectly paired with the spectacular fireworks display at the Space Needle, at South Lake Union, or wherever you are!

Happy New Year from Classical KING!  We’re celebrating all day long with thematic music programmed throughout the day.

Best of Northwest Focus Live: Ladies Musical Club of Seattle Frances Walton Competition

Snow may not be in the weather forecast this week, but it’s on the air this weekend! This Saturday on Second Inversion: Facing North. We’ll hear music inspired by the quiet beauty of the Arctic. One composer finds music in the many different textures of snow—another, in the clarity of the Northern landscape. Plus, we’ll warm up inside an arctic bar and step outside under the aurora borealis. 

 

The Score with Edmund Stone 

Mark Your Calendar for Weird Holidays 

Saturday, January 3 | 4pm 

Did you know there are fun, or just plain odd, holidays for every day of the year? This week on The Score Edmund Stone brings you a calendar full of films that tie into some of these quirky commemorations including National Spaghetti Day with Cloudy, with a Chance of Meatballs, National Kitten Day with Keanu, Bad Poetry Day with Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and more. There’s always a reason to celebrate with The Score! 

 

Cure for Winter Blues 

Sunday, January 4 | 4pm 

The holidays may be over but the fun goes on with Edmund Stone’s The Score. This week it’s a Cure for the Winter Blues, a show filled with palate-cleansing movies that will make you laugh and smile, and perk up your day. Switch gears with music from movies such as Ratatouille, The Banshees of Inishirin, Barbie, Knives Out and more. This Sunday on The Score.

Mason Bates: The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay
