Music Feature: Let’s Play SEA ’26

As fans from around the globe gather in the Pacific Northwest, Classical KING joins the celebration with a soundtrack inspired by the nations competing on the world stage. On match days in Seattle, hear works from the countries taking the field as we celebrate FIFA World Cup 2026 through music.

Seattle Center will serve as one of the city’s official fan celebration sites through Let’s Play SEA ’26, featuring public match viewings, cultural festivals, and community events that welcome visitors from around the world to the heart of Seattle.

Seattle Girls Choir: Prime Voce Bon Voyage Concert

Wish Seattle Girls Choir’s premier high school ensemble a fond farewell as Prime Voce presents a special Bon Voyage concert before departing on an international tour of the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. As Seattle Girls Choir’s touring ensemble, Prime Voce represents the organization’s commitment to musical excellence while serving as cultural ambassadors through choral performance.

Octava Chamber Orchestra: Summer Chamber Music Extravaganza

Known for balancing beloved masterworks with premieres and modern repertoire, Octava continues its commitment to championing the music of our time.

Salish Sea Early Music Festival: The Treble Viol

Sunday, June 28 | 2pm | St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Port Townsend

Discover the unique sound of the treble viol, a close relative of the viola da gamba that combines features of both the violin and guitar, in this special program from the Salish Sea Early Music Festival. Performed by early music specialist Annalisa Pappano, the concert features works by composers including Jean-Baptiste Lully and Georg Philipp Telemann, showcasing the expressive character and versatility of this rarely heard instrument. Through historically informed performance and expert musicianship, the program offers a fascinating glimpse into the rich world of Baroque-era music.

Master Chorus Eastside: This Is Our Song

Master Chorus Eastside closes its season with This Is Our Song, a joyful program celebrating the many musical traditions that shape our shared cultural landscape. Blending traditional choral works, spirituals, contemporary pieces, and folk favorites, the concert features music connected to artists as varied as Dolly Parton, John Lennon, and Mozart. Through themes of resilience, hope, and community, the program highlights the power of music to bring people together across generations, styles, and experiences.

The History of America According to Hollywood: Part 1

This Saturday on The Score Edmund Stone celebrates America’s birthday with a look, through the cameras of Hollywood, at the country’s history. From pre-colonial days as depicted in The New World, to the Civil War in Glory, through the westward expansion in Dances with Wolves, and life in post-World War II era with The Best Years of our Lives, it’s a dazzling musical depiction of some of the highlights of our history.   

Great Detectives

Sunday, June 28 | 4pm  

If you love a mystery, this week’s Score is for you as host Edmund Stone matches music with the wit and wile of Great Detectives. Hunt hounds with Holmes in the Baskervilles, solve murder on the Orient Express, find the Maltese Falcon with Sam Spade, use detective tech with the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. All this mystery and mayhem, next Sunday on The Score.
