Seattle Center Classical Brings Music, Discovery, and Community to the International Fountain

A new outdoor music experience on July 5 presented by Classical KING in collaboration with Seattle Center, featuring performances from Seattle’s leading arts organizations.
Seattle’s classical music community is coming together in a new way this summer.
Seattle Center Classical is a new outdoor Classical KING music experience bringing together live performances, musical discovery, and community gathering at the International Fountain on Sunday, July 5.
Developed through the ongoing partnership between Seattle Center and Classical KING, Seattle Center Classical marks the first event of its kind at Seattle Center where several of the region’s leading classical music organizations will perform in a shared public setting.
Set against the backdrop of the Space Needle and International Fountain during the height of summer, the event invites audiences to experience live music in a relaxed outdoor atmosphere at the heart of Seattle Center. Visitors will be able to spend the afternoon around the fountain, encounter artists and ensembles throughout the day, and experience music in a setting that reflects the openness and creativity of the Pacific Northwest.
Music at the Heart of the Festival
At the center of the event is The Concert Truck stage, made possible through Seattle Chamber Music Society. Featured organizations will each present performances from The Concert Truck stage throughout the festival.
Featured performing organizations in the onstage lineup include Early Music Seattle, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, Seattle Chamber Music Society, Seattle Opera, and the Seattle Symphony.
Seattle Center Classical will conclude with a community sing led by singers from Greater Seattle Choral Consortium, inviting audiences across Seattle Center to participate in a shared musical moment reflecting the spirit of the event: Classical Music for Everyone.
Designed for Discovery
Additional activities throughout the afternoon will include instrument exploration opportunities, family-focused programming, and hands-on musical engagement designed to encourage curiosity and participation for audiences of all ages.
Whether visitors stay for a single performance or spend the entire afternoon on the lawn, Seattle Center Classical is designed to encourage exploration and discovery of classical music throughout the festival experience.

Seattle Center Classical is designed to welcome longtime classical music listeners while also creating an approachable and inviting experience for families, visitors, and audiences encountering live performances for the first time.
Organizers envision the event as the beginning of a new annual summer tradition celebrating music, community, and cultural life in Seattle.
